Description

Hi

I am trying to use new phpfreechat for drupal 6 (thanks for it), I have enabled module, I have set permissions for phpfreechat and that's all.
There are no other phpfreechat settings - in settings nor in node type.
the url described in install.txt: administer/settings/phpfreechat nor admin/settings/phpfreechat doesn't exists.

I have drupal 6.9

Thanks
Igorik

I'm running 6.9 as well and the admin panel comes up just fine.

Are you sure that you're running all new code, and you don't have some files from the 5.x version? There will not be an admin panel if you try to run the 5.x version under 6.x because of the large changes in the form API.

The only thing I can suggest is that you completely uninstall phpFreeChat - make sure there are no remnants of it anywhere - then reinstall. Since I can't reproduce this problem, I don't know what else to suggest. If I can't make the bug happen on my site, I can't fix it.

Oh - here's one thing I can check... I will make sure that the 6.x download includes the correct files. I'm new to CVS and I may have made an error in the upload.

Ugh - the files are messed up. Those are the 5.x-1.3 files. I never created a new branch on CVS before. I thought I did it right, but apparently not. I'll try again.

I don't know how to fix this - I keep getting an error from CVS. I'm going to upload the package to my own Web site while I try to figure it out.

I was able to fix it on Drupal - don't have to upload it to my own site. Download it again. The correct files are there now.

The documentation for CVS is very confusing. I should write a tutorial once I figure it out.

Hi, I'm having this issue right now with 6.10. Except I DO have the Phpfreechat setting in the administer panel but not in the nodes. When I go to Administer > Content Management > Content Types and choose edit beside Page for example the Phpfreechat settings aren't there. I'm having difficulty setting up the actual chatbox. It's weird because the phpfreechat is listed under blocks, I display the "who is chatting" but naturally it's empty as I haven't setup a chat.

Any help would be really appreciated.

The only reason you would not see an admin panel is if you had the 5.x module installed at one time and you did not COMPLETELY uninstall it before installing the version for Drupal 6. You have to uninstall the module, not just uncheck it. The cache has to be deleted, the database table, and every chat node you created. It's a pain in the neck, but it's necessary. If you don't do it, you will have these problems. Once the old version is completely gone, you can install the new version, recreate the chat nodes, and everything will work.

It's not that I don't see an Admin panel for Phpfreechat, I do. It's that it's not displaying in the content type options. I've never installed version 5, I installed version 6 for the first time yesterday. My drupal is 6.10, which I started about a month ago. So I'm certain that isn't the issue.

It's the same issue Dropchew mentioned. We have the panel, just not the content type settings option.

Same problem for me too! I never had 5.x before. So that is not the issue. This is a fresh 6.x install and I do not see any means to enable phpfreechat for a particular content type although I can see configuration settings for the module.
