Integrating a flash map that references nodes

Hi there,

I am working on something a bit new for me. A client has requested that I develop a map in Flash (literal map of a region) and points on the map reference videos that are located as nodes.

So I have the map. It's calling files from an xml playlist ( actually several because the guy who made the map couldn't figure out how to put the xml all in one file?) and the map is ready to go on-site.

My plan was to make a panel view, and have the map load a category page for each point on the map under the map graphic. That way the client can load as many videos as he or she wants and they will all show up under the map.

I am a non-programmer though and I am having trouble figuring out how to get panels to read the links in the map as calls to ull content into the page just below the map and not on a whole new page.

I am also baffled as to whether i should try doing this using jquery or swf tools or something like that?
