When a hierarchical taxonomy is displayed on the user edit page by User force term, there is no differentiation between parent and child terms in the taxonomy listing. It would be ideal if there was a clear visual distinction made between different levels of the hierarchy in the listing.

Makes sense. The dev version now uses _taxonomy_term_select() from core to build the select box.
