Project:Webmail Plus
Version:6.x-1.4
Component:Documentation
Category:support request
Priority:normal
Assigned:Unassigned
Status:active
Description

Using D6.8, PhP 5.2, MySQL 4.1

I installed and enabled the following modules:

AES
MAIL API
MESSAGING &
WEBMAIL PLUS

I get errors when I enable webmail plus simple status, so I disabled it.
I had errors on mailbox so i manually created the Inbox, Sent & other folders.

Now, i dont have any errors but I don't have the webmail plus nav link mentioned in other posts,
and i cannot fetch the emails in my account.

How do I get the nav link?
How do I configure my server in the Mail API configuration?

Thanks.

I get the Webmail Plus settings in My account but no Webmail menu entries for reading email. I tried manually entering http://example.com/webmail_plus/ and was redirected to http://example.com/webmail_plus/view_threads/INBOX. The new page contains the following messages:
Your email password is not correct. Please click here to set it.
No messages available.

I tried LDAP with and without SSL plus a dozen other Mail API setting changes and none worked. The password is correct because it works in Thunderbird untouched by human hands. One problem is LDAP. On the dozens of projects where I worked with LDAP, LDAP failed frequently with one hundred percent perfect requests and often produced error messages that were outrageous lies totally unrelated to either the request or the supplied paramenters. Apart from LDAP being as unreliable as a snowflake in a microwave oven, why does Mail API complain about the password when the password is correct?

Even if the password is wrong, where is the menu entry for the page to view email? You should be able to see the view page so you can at least verify the installation of Webmail.
