This I updated to this new version, 2.2, last night. Today, when adding content to web site, (after clicking save) I got an error line (sorry I did not copy the entire line) said: opencalais line 221.

I reinstalled the previous version, 2.1 for now.

Did you run update.php?

If you get a chance, let me know the full error message (or at least which file) so I can see what might be happening.

@febbraro, I did run update.php - odd that the it did not ask me to run update again after reinstalling 2.1.

I'm sorry I did not copy the entire line when I got the message. In panic mode, I quickly checked to see if the back button would work so I could undo the 2.2 install. Again, apologies, but a "fatal error" is not something I would willingly recreate; this is a live site that I am working on.

I was, and am still, looking forward to an update to the calais module. It seems to be effective, though there are some kinks or quirks in it (others have mentioned these, so I won't go into all that here).

Yeah I understand. If you get some time, and a dev setup I would appreciate it since I dont see that error anywhere on my dev or production sites. Should be another release in a week or two, but I doubt it will fix this unless I can get some more info from somewhere. Reopen this issue with more info if you can get any.

As far as kinks and quirks, feel free to unload them onto the issue queue. I'm always trying to make it better and feedback is exactly what will do that.

Hi,

Thanks. I tried 2.2 again today and can now give you the complete error message. It came up the exact same way it did before: at the next "save" when creating new content.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function rdf_uri() in /path-to/sites/all/modules/opencalais/calais_api.module on line 217

Hope this helps.

Ah, this one. You need to update you version of the RDF module to the dev release from 2008-Dec-05. There were some significant improvements to the RDF API, and I wanted/needed to take advantage of them.

I have also added a bold statement on the project page to this effect.

Hi Frank (I heard your name mentioned on the lullabot podcast),

Ok, I installed the dev of RDF, then Calais 2.2 and all seems well. "Available updates" tells me there is an RDF alpha5 recommended - should we go with that?

Also, RDF required a newer version of ARC to be installed. And, since the RDF install was new, I thought I'd check out the config page for it on my site. I checked a few things I don't recall noticing before and maybe this will remove some of the repeated entries, example:
If I have 2 pages with Barack Obama, there is a Calais entry for Barack Obama and a second one for Barack Obama-0. I've used the "tag modifications/rename" feature, but some duplicates still show up. But less so now.

Glad that worked out.

You really had 2 pages of Barack Obama? Lets follow this thread over on #362841: Every instance of a term is separate
