it there a way to control the order each item appears in the block ?

The content appears in the list in a "relevant" way. The system matches on number of common terms and the nodes with the most common terms appear at the top. The next sorting is "newest" at the top and finally the node ID (descending).

There isn't any way to order in a custom way yet though...

Postponing this as a feature I might put in later releases...
