I have put three PNG images with transparent corners in the three preface areas.
When the page is rendered in Internet Explorer (Any version) the preface area is rendered, the background images and block backgrounds are moved down but the location of the main and block content does not move with the blocks.

I realise that this is just another Microsoft Fcuk up but I really need the page to display correctly in explorer unfortunately.

Any help, workarounds or fixes would be very helpful.

I found the solution. You need to add image dimensions to the images embedded within the blocks to ensure the page displays properly in internet explorer.

However I have now hit another problem with the primary links bar being displayed above where it is meant to.
I will open another support request for this issue.
