Description
How do I find out the correct request address? Is it equal to the lists adress?
My hoster does not tell me the adress but wants me to use a webpage instead (so one solution would be to use http://drupal.org/project/user_mailman_register instead of the request address).

The request address would be something like
"research-request@lists.yoursite.com"
if your site's Mailman installation is on the domain "lists.yoursite.com" and your list is called "research"
If you know the "owner" address or "bounce" address, simply replace either of those words with "request"
Other than that I would suggest you go to Mailman help as there is no way someone on this site can explain to you the peculiarities of how your host has set up Mailman on their servers.

thanks alot, it works with xyzlist-request@example.com just as you wrote!
(i only tried xyzlist-subscribe@example.com before, but that didn't work.)

btw, in case someone is searching for this info:
at least for my mailman installation the correct Mailing List 'admin' address would be:
xyzlist-owner@example.com
