With TAC you could originally deny the permission to Create with a certain taxonomy term, in fact the term would not appear in the form. Since this functionality is broken in TAC I would like to see it in TAC_LITE. TAC development seems to have stopped or at least it is being poorly supported at the moment, so I would like TAC_LITE to become less light and add some features of TAC.

nodes that are not created have no taxanomy terms associated with them. So using terms to control this permission makes no sense. Am I not getting something?

Wait I see what you're saying...

In the create or edit form users will see all the terms they have permission to view. If you want anything other than that, write your own hook_form_alter.
