Two Level Navigation with <front>

I created a new website where I need two navigation groups on the left side bar. I used the menu module and then navigation to make six entries: , , , , . and were both given paths of . My goal in doing this is to keep the home page visiable and open either the or subgroups when they are clicked.

This set of entries results in the inability to expand one of the menu groups in the navigation menu. The top group on the menu works as expected. When you click on the second group, , this opens the group as well. It is not possible to open the group.

It seems that the behavior of the menu needs to be independent of what the page targets is. It seems reasonable to only want the menu group to expand with no change in content on the body of the page. Perhaps another page target meta is needed in addition to -- for example . The path is required so the user needs to enter something.
