Does this work in the UK, or is it US only?

Yes it seems to work in the UK. Before Christmas I was setting up a store and I had made a couple of test purchases with google checkout and the money went through the system as expected. I had to stop development for family reasons and am only just returning after upgrading my site to D6. Sandbox seems to work OK in D6 the UK as well.
