Please remove all 6.x releases from the civimember_roles project. It seems I don't have permission to remove releases.

These modules are now included along with CiviCRM for Drupal 6, so they are no longer being maintained on Drupal.org, however, the update status module is reporting to users:

Project not supported: This project is no longer supported, and is no longer available for download. Disabling everything included by this project is strongly recommended!

Includes: CiviGroup Roles Sync, CiviMember Roles Sync

This is not correct, and is causing a number of support request. It seems the only way to avoid this is to remove the releases form drupal.org entirely?

If something else needs to be done, please advise. Thanks.

It is frowned upon to actually delete releases. What you did at http://drupal.org/node/215507/edit/releases by marking it unsupported is the correct process. The error message in the update status module is correct since you have technically dropped support for the 6.x release. The best you can do now is just make sure that there is a notice on the top of your project page about the 6.x release being merged into CiviCRM so users will see that first.

I'm reporting for posterity that we resolved the issue by removing from our new repo the lines in the .info files which were added by the Drupal.org packaging script.
