No body can just give me some tips about how to look around what could happen ?
Or let me know if it works well on his drupal, or if it's a commun pb ?
To edit welcome message
You can edit the text of emails sent to new users from the users section of the admin menu (I actually have the French version installed, so in case you do too : Gestion des utilisateurs > Paramètres des utilisateurs)
In that page you'll get boxes where you can edit the messages, but I believe it will affect all messages sent, both to english and french members. So maybe just have them bilingual?
Hope that helps!
thanks for the reply but

if you install Drupal with the french packet the emails should be translated to french right away, anyway I am searching for a way to do this later atm as well ;)

Good suggestion on the bilingual email. I've been looking around and there doesn't seem to be a viable option. Maybe with the Mail Editor module, but I have yet to test it and am a little reluctant because of its "dev" status. I am currently developing a multi-multi-language site (trying for about 8) and including 8 languages in the same email probably would be a little convoluted, but if I created a splash page for each language... (figuring that as long as the meaning gets across, it's all ok)

Not sure what I'm doing.... Thought I had just figured it out, wrote a response after my previous one, and then went to do more editing and found that I was TOTALLY wrong. Since I can't delete my post I'm writing this...
