I have a development site with /lovalhost/drupal and a live site public_html/drupal/.

On my development machine image paths are /drupal/sites/default/files/images in all my html pages.

Unless I change this to /sites/default/files/images on the live site, the links are all broken. Is there a slick way to solve this so that I can just copy my development files to the live site and forget about it? If not, support is going to be difficult. I have enabled redirect in .htaccess which gets rid of the 'drupal' in 'domain/drupal' in browsers. I am very new to all this and have little knowledge of php and such so please be kind. Many thanks.

There's a great module out there, Pathologic that will help keep your "local" URLs working if you move to a different domain/site. There's really not much that Path Redirect can do. I'm going to mark this as fixed. If you still have problems, you can re-open the issue.
