Going to this url always brings up the site-offline message even though the site is online. Also, if admin logs out after this - it is impossible to re-log in without removing drupalvb module. Everyone someone tries to log in the user instantly gets the site offline message again?

Marking as duplicate of #350732: DrupalvB should not close Drupal's default database connection. You can follow up on that issue to track its status instead. If any information from this issue is missing in the other issue, please make sure you provide it over there.
