Has this module been tested on large sites?
say: 30-40k unique visitors daily, 200k+ pageviews
20000+ nodes
user generated content
etc.
I'm looking for a way to keep dev and prod databases synced.

no. it is not tested on large sites.
this is why it is versioned as 0.1
but i will thank you if you can help in testing for large sites.
