Hi

Is there a way / module to count the number of times a link/file/image is clicked/viewed?

I'd like to know how much times my file has been downloaded by users.

turn on your statistics.module in core and set the proper settings.

downloads, investigate the download count.module

expand on statistics by investigating some of the other stats modules. ie: hall of fame.module and others
