I got this up and working, but I can't see the main benefit of using this over just making your own gallery using views? I'm probably missing something here, but seems like you have just made an interface that makes CCK galleries easier to build? I guess I'm looking for benefits of using this rather than just build one using views? (Please don't be offended, it seems like a great way to make galleries, but just want to see how this is better)
What purpose does the tpl files serve? What are the benefits of using this instead of views?
I guess I was expecting to see some more functionality like Next/Prev thumbnails to easily navigate through images, or a thumbnail strip of images across the bottom so you can see more images in the gallery you are in.
Thanks for working on this module...I'll be glad to test and suggest features and improvements.

greg.harveyGive us a chance! This is brand new, and in essence right now there is NO difference between this and your own galleries with CCK and Views. But what this module does is:
a) pre-configure all this stuff for n00bs
b) provide a space to extend the functionality via templates, etc for a nicer interface.
But it doesn't happen overnight.
I'll close this issue, but please do submit feature requests! =)
