TypePade AntiSpam API

Have you thought about integrating with the TypePade AntiSpam API, it's an open source free (as in beer and speech) spam filtering API that combines several adaptive learning engines to score inbound comments, TrackBacks and PingBacks. I've heard it's very similar to Mollom or Akismet but open source and free.

TechCrunch uses it on their site and said it performs just as good, if not better than when they ran Akismet.

Interesting quote from their site:

TypePad Antispam is free, and will always be free, regardless of the number of comments your blog receives. We are strongly committed to spam-free blogs and vibrant, healthy conversations. Charging for the service based on the number of comments processed would mean that we would actually benefit from the behavior of spammers. We don't make money from spam!

I thought instead of making this a separate module it might work in really well with Spam.
