I'm not totally sure what you mean by implementing support for HTMLbox / FCKeditor.

There is some documentation on how to use Lightbox2 with TinyMCE / FCKeditor at http://drupal.org/node/252153 Feel free to modify if you have details on HTMLbox integration.

If it's not possible to add rel attribute to the link, or a class attribute to the image within the link, then you'll need to open up a feature request against the WYSIWYG editor in question.
