Every time I mark something as spam manually, a notice is shown saying that the administrator will be notified and I receive an e-mail about it. If I've done the marking, I don't want an e-mail about it. My account has the "administer spam" permission, so I don't see why I should get these e-mails.

jeremy commentedThe problem is that the email is only sent to user 1. If you have several people with "administer spam" permissions, it could be confusing what is happening and why comments are being marked as spam. As the owner of a website, I personally always want to know when these types of changes are made.
Perhaps we could come up with an alternative solution that makes us both happy. Ideas?

Zed Pobre commentedMake it configurable? A checkbox somewhere to select "Admin e-mail not sent on manual marking"?

jeremy commentedI'd rather get rid of configuration options, rather than add new ones. People already get confused as is... Maybe there's a more graceful solution.

jeremy commentedI have no intention of fixing this.
