We are using Map Hilight on our site to display instructional image maps with links from regions to explanations or definitions of an object or area in the image. We also use Lightbox2 in order to pop up glossary definition pages or other explanations or examples without the viewer leaving the page. Unfortunately Map Hilight and Lightbox2 do not work together so our image map links destroy the site convention.
Both these modules use jQuery. Is there a way to make them work together? Suggestions?

WorldFallz commentedI'm not exactly sure what the problem is from your description. I have both jq_maphilight and lightbox2 installed and functioning no problem.
You can test this by changing the first <area> tag in the sample image map (in the README.txt file) to:
The map highlights properly and the link opens in a lightbox2 lightbox-- firebug shows no errors and everything seems to work fine.
If you want to reopen with more info I'll be glad to take a look.
