Hi all,

I just got offering to take care a project something like Real Estate. The project is to build a search engine, and
the result is gonna be show in Map.
Here is the example: sample1, sample2

If you see in those picture(legend area), there are different shape and color to show specific condition 'status'.
I'm pretty new to Google Map Api, so i need some enlightment to finish the project.

-Can i do this project with Google Maps Api or there is other way to do this 'Map Locator'?
-If Google Map Api is the solution, can i make custom 'mark' such as triangle, circle etc like in the pics above.
-Do i need to create custom search engine or Google Map APi will take care of those

Any small suggestion/direction will be appreciated

Those example could easily be done with Exhibit, they have a module but would recommend trying the base first.

The drupal http://drupal.org/project/gmap module can use taxonomy terms for choosing map markers-- seems to be an easy way to handle it.
