1. Create an event
2. sign up volunteer for event
3. go to volunteer admin and approve volunteer.
4. go back to event.
5. wait awhile
6. try to click volunteer admin
7. nothing happens.
I acutally don't know how to reproduce this, it just happens *after awhile* to every event. You can sign up, you admin volunteers, and then, out of the blue, when you click the volunteer admin tab - nada.
IN firefox, the event page simply reloads, in IE6 you get the built-in "The page cannot be displayed" page from IE.

killes@www.drop.org commentedIf this happens on the same setup as the other bug I strongly suspect an error in the setup. Something might try to do stuff that civcrm frowns upon if your setup is not 100% correct.
I've followed your prescription, but was not able to reproduce the problem.

onionweb commentedI managed to find the sequence that reproduces this:
1. create event
2. logout
3. volunteer while anon.
4. login as admin
5. click on volunteer admin
6. nothing happens
this is with CRM 1.2
mysql 4.0.x
php 4.3.x

Amazon commentedThis error message is not clear: You need to assign a CiviCRM profile field for volunteer data collection.
I don't know what field to add to the CiviCRM profile.
Also the volunteer coordinator has no selections. The admin setting volunteer is default selected as admin.
