I would need users who upload some content to agree with a copyright statement allowing my organization to make this content publicly available on the internet. Would it be possible to create a field where I could paste the text (it is long) and require users to check it off before saving?
I am new into Drupal and would appreciate any idea how to achieve this.

I suspect you could fashion something with CCK if you are willing to spend a little time learning about it.

This could be satisfied with use of the Rules module (or similar) and fulfillment of #682044: Support fields (CCK) in D7 Bibliography Module.

Marking as duplicate since fields (CCK) integration, which is already in the other isue, is the only thing about this issue within scope of the biblio module.
