The same way sites are associated to webservers, dbservers and clients, zones should be mapped to clients and dns servers. You shouldn't be able to edit the zone if you do not have access to the client.

This is superseded by #922252: Prevent clients from hijacking each others subdomains. Of course zones will be associated to clients and servers: the trick is how to do that access control.
