contact form and registration form not subscribing

hi - i've got the latest d6 campaign monitor module installed on a d6.9, php 5.2.6, mysql 5.0.45 linux machine. i had to manually install soap, but i seem to have this module working properly now.
except that the contact form and registration forms do not seem to be adding my subscribers in campaign monitor.
the block form works to add a sub, as does the checkbox in the users account, but the contact form and reg form to not work. any ideas?
another symptom is that if i change the Display Text for User Page text in the mosdule admin page, the new text i enter is not displayed on the users page - it still just says "Newsletter".
any thoughts about this would be appreciated - this looks like a great module and i'm almost there. thanks.

adding to this ticket - another quirk
if i deselect the checkboxes on admin/settings/campaignmonitor
Display on Options:
Contact Page
Registration Page
the join newsletter checkboxes still appear on the reg form and the contact form.
if i de-activate the campaign monitor module they go away, but that is of little use.
thoughts?

I am having the exact same issue. drupal 6.9, php 5.2.6-- block works great but checkbox on contact form does not, and I can't take it away.

Ok, this issue has now been fixed in the latest release 6.x-2.2.
