We currently have a drupal site that has just been developed for us. It is a fantastic site with many modules being implemented including polls, blogs, forums, profiles and more, however we need to add more functionality to it. I am looking for a drupal expert with at least 2 years of experience in drupal and can provide me with samples of sites created. Please only respond if you are very comfortable with drupal and know it inside and out. We will need custom modules which push drupal to its limits.

The functionality that I am looking to add are as follows:
Modifying current modules to fit our needs better
Creating custom modules
fixing bugs on the site

This will be a long term relationship consisting of many projects over a 6 month period (maybe longer).
Please let me know how comfortable you are with theming. Some custom modules will require extensive theming.

All work will be done remotely so location is not an issue. We are looking to spend approximately $20/hr on a developer.

I very much doubt you will get a competent module developer for $20/hr, to be honest ...

It takes time to become intimately familiar with Drupal, and anyone who has invested this time knows that their skills are of high value. Can I suggest that you offer a more realistic price and that you should be very wary of anyone who offers their services for your asking price.

$20/hr is reasonable if you know PHP, but for the sort of Drupal knowledge you're asking for, the price is much higher. For example, I have been developing in Drupal for almost four years, and my rate is $120 per hour. I know people offshore that are cheaper, but it's still three times what you're asking.
