commweb requires ec_receipt module that is only present in ecommerce 6.x versions

I told a client that I would use commweb to integrate with openresort (only available for 5.x) thinking it would work because it is listed as a 5.x module. The problem is that it requires the ec_receipt module which I have only been able to find in 6.x versions of ecommerce. What am I missing?

This is confusing because the drupal release versions do not match the eCommerce release versions. It is more accurate to say that the commweb module works with eCommerce 4.x. Originally eCommerce 4 was being developed as a Drupal 5.x module, which is why it says drupal 5.x.
Which version of eCommerce are you planning to use?
If you check back through the eCommerce releases you can find a 5.x-4.0-alpha11 that you might be usable - you'll have to contact the eCommerce developers to see if they're getting it up and running for drupal 5.
Otherwise eCommerce 3.x works with Drupal 5 and is lightly supported - but this commweb module will not work with that version. However I believe it includes its own migs gateway module (which is what commweb uses) but you'll have to check on that.
One thing you're right about - if the ec dev team decide not to release ec 4 as a drupal 5 module I'll have to tag commweb as d6.
Does that help? Having said all of that, even if it's not available it would not be too hard to create a version of this module to work with a commweb/migs gateway for eC 3.x - send me an email if you want to discuss developing this.
