Hi,

Right now I'm printing the $submitted var on my blog-posts which returns something like: "Written by Oskar Rough Friday 30/01/2009 - 14:09 (0)".

This could be fine but how do I edit this bit? Where does the $submitted var come from?

check out the submitted by module. i haven't tried it myself but stumbled across it yesterday and it sounds like exactly what you're looking for.

You can use $name and $date separately, or get the timestamp from the $node object and format it however you like.

$submited comes from the theme engine. The date format is the medium length date from the site date & time settings IIRC.
