Description
Any hope of a DD module for Drupal 6.x?

#1
Just the direct debit or the ubercart module too?
#2
Request directdebit for Ubercart with D6

I finally found this...........
Direct Deposit

For this to happen I need a sponsor. I need at least a days work including testing.

If the exchange rate was not that bad i would love to have sponsored you. But I guess you will not work for $65 for a day. Believe me it is allot of money in South Africa.
One quick question? Does the direct debit run every month on a users account? And does the workflow warn you of bounced debits?
I want to use it for Debiting monthly site subscriptions, and if the debit bounce, it must block the user.
My Debit facilitator send me an XML file with the user info, so I can block and unblock users on a daily basis.
But as i understand from your module, you connect direct with the bank. That means I will need to write an interface module to work in South Africa.
Thanks

(Maybe you could exchange graphics skills instead of money :-) See my contact page if interested.)
Direct Debit is doing nothing more then facilitating the 'proper' field into Ubercart. So I would recommend to use Ubercart for workflow extensions.
If you would like to use the bank interface we have to extend the clieop module which provides export and a little import of the bank files to provide you bank interface.

Thanks for the reply
So with the use of recurring transactions in ubercart and our module you can simulate a monthly debit order. Does your module then collect all the detail from the client to make a direct debit possible? Then this info is exported to your banking interface module to tell the bank that there is a new user or a new monthly amount to debit from his account. The bank then does the direct debit and tell your banking module that the transaction was successful. Then with workflow you can update the user access.
My main idea is:
Instead of signing up for a site and pay a yearly fee, once off. You can select to be debited once a month (on a date chosen by the user). With the help of the smsframework.module the user can get an SMS warning telling him that his account is going to be debited tommorow.
This will scare those crappy bloggers away from your site but will keep the good once as the monthly amount is so little and there is no effort from the user's side. This could cover your monthly hosting costs.
Thanks again.
About the graphics, commission me and if my skills suck, you did not waste any time.
I think an accommodation swap between druplers from different countries, as a means of remuneration could be a great idea. Cos for $65 you can stay 5 days in South Africa. And I have an extra room and I live in a great tourist town. So if you can get here you can stay for free, or something like that. We can user the Alternate_currencies.module to work out how many nights a drupler can stay for hours worked. :)

I'm guessing this thread did not result in a D6/Ubercart 2 compatible and stable module? I'm interested in getting this working for a UK client. If sponsorship is still the best route forward, how much are a we talking about?

Sorry for the late response :( Busy working on two big sites at once :p
Converting this to UberCart-6.x-2.x means carefully studying API changes. I'm not sure whether I can find the time.
If someone else is interested let me know?

Yes I am interested too in a UC2 version. Would like to develop a plug-in for the Spanish system (Domiciliación Bancaria) according to the 19 norm, without getting into these API differences. Can I donate something?
