Videos encoded using CDN2's Ipod Iphone MOV format are not playable on iPhone.

If this was broken, it may have been fixed - I'm able to get iPhone video to play beautifully after transcoding.

Is the video player area appearing, but just not playing, or is it not showing up on the page at all?

If the latter, it may be that the "view" permission isn't set for that format for the account.

I was seeing a broken player... a specific iPhone UI element that says "video is here but not for you!"

I'll try it again this weekend and change the status of the issue if it's fixed.

I'm guessing you were being facetious about the wording - I could not find any text like that anywhere in their code. : )

Is this still an issue? I cannot replicate.

This is still an issue.

I transcode video with ipod/iphone mov setting... view it on an iphone and it shows the standard quicktime block with a playbutton with a big cross through it.

It's not a permissions problem, the format is wrong, perhaps it's the server hosting it? Perhaps it's codec problem? I've no idea.

Weird considering i'm uploading .mov files in the first place. The test files are intended for use in VJ software, perhaps that format does something weird to the transcoder? Perhaps it's not really processing it fully because it's a mov to start with?

Enabling the iphone safari developer output tells me

"Quicktime: The server is not correctly configured" is that my server or cdn2 server?

Would be handy if it worked

"Quicktime: The server is not correctly configured"

Everything was completely broken at cdn2 yesterday - i think they must have been switching over to something new, and much better.

Iphone movs now work perfectly, changing status to needs review so that someone can double check.
