On a site I am working on, the forums use the Forum Access Module to control which user roles can post threads and view forums. In the site wide Access Control, all user roles are allowed to post comments. This means that even though a user may not be able to post a thread in a forum, they are able to post a comment on a thread.
I have been researching Drupal.org but haven't found a solution. Is there one I didn't come across? Would using the Node Comment Module solve my problem?
If the Node Comment Module is the way to go, then does anyone have any tips to offer of how to turn comments into nodes?
