Assign to new admin in g.d.o?

I am one of the members of the Utah Drupal Group (http://groups.drupal.org/utah). At our last meeting, we had talked about what type of control we have on g.d.o, but we realized none of us our admins on the group. And, the last time I have heard anything from the current admin was like 6 months ago. So, I was hoping that we could get an active member of our group upgraded to admin status (Im assuming me since I am the one trying to get this sorted out). Also, I have emailed the current admin through g.d.o contact form about the situation, but I haven't received a response.
