Need to block password change temporaritly on user accounts

We are setting up a protected site for some 50 users of a particular group. We want them all to use the same user id and password as they only need it in order to see protected content. Is there a module that will block the password change fields on the edit screen of the user account?

Thank you, good start. Now I need to block account editing altogether. Maybe I can do that my overriding the user form?
