im looking to put 2 backgound images on my sites, directly under the header one aligned to the left and one alined to the right. First of all is this possible, and second of all I only want it to be on the home page. Or as the background of a certain block or panel.

How would I achieve this?

yes, pretty much everything is possible with drupal. =)

you can use css to style the background images and then configure the block to display only on which pages.
