IE8 is not an officially
IE8 is not an officially released version of IE yet, and as such I doubt much (if any) testing of any Drupal modules or features has been done in it yet. IE8 is also known to still have a huge number of bugs, so how it works now does not reflect how it will work when it is actually released. No module developer or themer is likely to waste time fixing bugs in an unreleased browser, though once it is released, they will look into any remaining bugs it causes.
For now, please use an officially released browser. If your system only has IE8 (e.g. if you're using Windows 7 beta) then you should install Firefox or Opera instead.
Also, you should upgrade to Drupal 5.15 immediately, as 5.7 contains critical security issues that have been fixed since then. Also you should only report bugs (or ask for help) regarding the most current version of Drupal as well as Drupal modules, as otherwise the issues you may bring up are likely to have already been fixed in more recent versions.
