Too many pages in pager?

If I click on "last page" in the table pager, I get to a series of pages without any data.

I have seen this on a client site some time ago. They DID NOT have xtracker back then, but they have deleted a a certain node type.
I think it is a ghost problem: something still points to nodes that do not exist.
You can turn on the devel module and see what SQL queries are running on the blank pages and run them manually and see what you get.

I'll take a look at this. I'm also seeing a lot of nodes with a date of "35 years 45 weeks ago". If I view the nodes with these dates, they appear to be okay. Could be related?
