my product sku is "training" however typing in training doesn't not work, however typing in the product title "ubercart training" does work.

Looks like that query was never really completed. I'm committing a fix to it that will check the SKU now and also will restrict the query to actual product nodes. I think I'm actually going to end up moving this to core for use elsewhere, too. : )
