Don't understand how to use Popup Message Box module

Please help, I want to display the Popup Message Box module in my source, but can't find any documentation that shows me how to use this module.

Is that what you are looking for? Not exactly a popup, but it puts up messages.

This is what I'm currently using and it suits the purpose just fine, but I would really like to understand how to use the popup message module. Is there an easy way to figure to figure out how to use modules that don't have any documentation provided?
