Voting api not storing user information

I updated the module to 6.x-2.x-dev and now when a user rates something in a view I created when the page is refreshed the rating is not longer there. any suggestions.

What voting module are you using?

I am using the five star module. I have it in a view.

On votingapi's settings page, is it possible that you've turned off calculation of vote results?
If you can, please post additional details about the problem -- any number of issues could be preventing the votes from being saved.
