Am I missing something? I do not see an option to "enable the option next to the content type".

"To associate a vocabulary with a specific content type, enable the option next to the content type. Terms from the vocabulary will be available when creating or editing content of the selected type. Multiple vocabularies tied to the same content type will be displayed in the order shown."

What I'm trying to do is run a conversion from one set of (important) CCK fields into categories which would allow a user to search on movie nodes in groups.

Any help would be appreciated.

Go to Content management > Taxonomy and edit (or add if you haven't already done so) the vocabulary. There's a fieldset called Content types in the vocabulary edit form, select any content type you want to associate the vocabulary with there.

Any idea how one can select multiple vocabularies for one content type in one shot?
e.g. Edit Content Type will give you a chance to select multiple vocabularies from the all the existing ones?
