I have enabled the FiveStar Comments for a particular content type. I would like users to rate only comments of the admin (mine is a Q& A type of site)......is this possible? Any other alternatives to achieve the same effect?

Fivestar Comments is not the same as Fivestar Extra. It's the review module that comes bundled with Fivestar. I'll assume you mean Fivestar Extra though, as you're talking about rating comments.

There is no way to only show the widget for certain roles, I'm sorry. I had a little think about other ways of doing this, but I can only think of writing custom modules.
