Hello,

I love Image Browser and it works great. I'm wondering if it can be used to upload all file types and not just images. pdf, doc, etc.

I would like to be able to just click the insert/edit link button in FCKeditor and then click the browse button to bring up the Image Browser window just like I would for linking to an image. Then be able to browse, quick upload, link to pdf/doc files instead. Everything works the same as it would for images, except I'd be linking to a file. I could create a new content type with CCK called "files" that I could filter on.

Can it do this? If not, does anyone have any suggestions on how I can use Image Browser AND be able to upload/link to files by browsing via FCKeditor?

Unfortunately not because it's so tied into the Image module at the moment. In v2 we will be adding support for CCK images and it will therefore be easier to hack to make it work with all file kinds.

A universal file browser that uses the IB interface does sound interesting but not something I have the time for at the moment. Sorry.
