Hi there,
I'd like to know if there is already a module that will fetch Wikipedia text for a certain keyword that I type.
I need this when I create a node... I would type for example "Paris Hilton" and it would fetch Wikipedia entry for Paris Hilton.
Any thoughts?

because posting the link doesn't show someone how to help themselves in the future. The search link has changed, but the principal is the same-- search the modules area for 'wikipedia' (which is such a unique word there should be no complaints about finding the relevant modules). The number of people posting 'is there a module for...' to the forums without having bothered to do a 5 second search is ridiculous. If i can type a word into the search box so can you.

Asking someone to go look for it harder, isn't much help is it?
You do realise that had you link to the module, in your response originally, with anchor text, there would be a chance that searching for it would have been a lot easier, yeah?

You have no business deriding someone who is donating time to help you. It would have taken you less time to search for the information than it would for you to type your snide reply.
Since there are several modules that may provide what you need and only you know the specific requirements, it is unreasonable to expect someone else to do all your thinking for you. If however you are incapable of deciphering the information in the search and deciding what module suits your purposes best, then any link that could have been provided would have been useless to you anyway.
The moral of the story is "If you're too stupid/lazy to do a 5 second search, then you are beyond any help you will find here anyway", but since you need your hand held I'll do it for you.

To be fair - in this case
Normally I'm one of the RTFM crowd , but even these search results have a lot of noise in them.
Sometimes, guidence on which of the actual results is better can deserve a question in the forums.
FTR, I think Create from web module looks the most likely. It wasn't near the top in any of the obvious searches today. It did take - not 5, but 25 seconds of scanning the results to locate it. (exponentially more time ;-)

I don't fault people for not being able to answer their own question-- i fault them when they can't be bothered to even try. One can't know there's noise in the search results if they don't bother to try to search first, lol.

All of the above is based on the assumption that the poster is seeking help on these forums before even searching.
I searched, as I always do on Drupal.org, and found nothing. And when I come across someone else seeking information, instead of replying with "search for it", I help out.
This helps Drupal in more ways than one. It makes this community, this platform more inviting to those who have searched and failed, and need help.
Perhaps not once has it dawned on gforce301 that at the time I searched, Drupal.org may have been going through some changes, and NO RESULTS were visible from my search.

You didn't "search". You clicked a link to a search provided by someone else.
That link was 2+ years old when you finally clicked it and the search module used on DO had changed. Had you bothered to type "wikipedia" in the search box, clicked "Refine your search" and selected "Modules" you would have gotten the same results as the link I provided, albeit full of "noise".
Perhaps not once has it dawned on you that help here is given on a voluntary basis and that you have ABSOLUTELY NO BUSINESS ridiculing ANYONE who posted help when you are obviously too lazy or stupid to actually do the search instead of just clicking a 2 year old link.
You are the definition of the Help Vampire that WorldFallz has listed in her signature and it's posters like you that make others not to want to even bother answering a question.
