Could you explain a bit how this differs from the banner module and the go module that also track click-throughs? I'm very interested in this module on several levels. Thanks.

kbahey commentedSure I can.
Basically banner tracks outgoing clicks. So, OTHER SITES advertise on YOUR site, and you track how much clicks you sent them.
Click Thru tracks incoming clicks. So when you advertise your site on Google Adwords or any other ad service, or when you send out links in a mailing list or newsletter, you want to track how many people clicked on those links that you have outside your site.
I hope it is clear now.

kbahey commentedI was not aware of the go module. I had to look it up. It is not a 4.6 module anyway (seems 4.5 only?)
But in any case, it still tracks outgoing clicks, not incoming ones. So Click Thru still has its niche for that.

jasonwhat commentedIt is 4.6 compatible. Both go and banner could be used to track inbound links, the links just have to be made to point to an onsite link. Did you end up looking at the spreadfirefox module, http://drupal.org/node/16009 at all for this? The ability to let users track click-throughs in an affiliate manner worked great for spreading the word on firefox and might link well to your user points module.
Thanks for your great work.
