Interaction with email_registration module

legal module and email_registration module work fine independently, but if I put them together the Username field is still shown on the registration page. I can hit submit with the userid blank and everything works - just don't know how to remove that Username form. I can't see any mention of it in the legal code. Could this be a problem in the email_registration module instead?

Ok - this is weird. I just enabled the profile module and added some personal information fields and it is now operating properly. Something about the profile fields has got in the middle and made them play nicely together :)
