Indic Script Installation & Configuration

This Page provides you the details about Indic Script Modules Installation & Configuration.

Installation

  • Download & extract the module to the site modules directory.
  • Go to admin » build » modules page.
  • Enable the Indic Script Module & Save settings.
  • Run the update.php.

Configuration

  • Go to admin » settings » indic_script Page and check the languages you really need to enable.
  • Please select only the languages really needed. Enabling many Languages will IMPACT the page loading performance, Or you should enable Java script Compression. because each language will add one additional JS file.
  • Go to admin » user » permissions page and give access Indic Script permission to any of the roles you needed.
  • Clear the Cache if it Drupal cache is enabled.
  • Now you can be able to type in any of the enabled languages to all the text & text area fields

indic script not working

it just does not work any which way just give a menu item or something

Seems to be not working with Drupal 6

I have set Kannada in the admin page for Indic_Script. And followed all the steps given in your instructions, including clearing the cache. Not able to type in any language.

In the demo site at http://tamil2friends.com/tamil, I find that a Indic_Script language selector appears in the bottom left corner of the browser and i am able to type in tamil. However, this language selector is not coming up in my site? Any other module to be enabled?

I am using Drupal 6.6.

I have enabled all the languages in that site, If you still can't able to see any language there Please create a issue at http://drupal.org/node/add/project-issue/indic_script

Please give screenshot if available. because indic_script only uses unicode your OS should aware about that.

Please make sure that you have
CLEARED the cache.
added the BLOCK to page
proper permission

Thanx Vinoth.

I installed a fresh copy of indic_script on a fresh copy of Drupal 6 in my office pc. For whatever reason, it is not showing up on my other machine.

Its working now. Thanx so much.
