No mail and Digest options not reflected in mailman

I'm having a similar issue with UMR when you switch your settings to either "No mail" or "Digest" as described in this comment on another issue:

When either of these options is selected in UMR, all check boxes in mailman are turned off. Subscribe and unsubscribe are working fine and the mailman variable is set to accept digestable? Is there another mailman configuration that is needed?
I thought I'd start a new issue in case others are seeing this as well?

Unfortunately i can't reproduce it with mailman 2.1.9.
If someone else gets the same issue, please, could report the mailman software version in order to understand if it could depends on it.

Ok, i found it's mailman version related.
It should be fixed in the last 6.x (soon also in the 5.x) release after the nightly run.
To avoid this bug, now you have to set in every your list preferences if your mailman version is newer or older than 2.1.9.
You need to run the drupal update.php page after installing the module.
Feel free to reopen this issue if the bug persists.
