See this http://drupal.org/node/363803 and the pictures attached to #12. This behaviour is caused by calender_block.

The site runs only in a test envrionment currently.

I have experienced the same problem with using the pixture reloaded theme. The creators of the pixture reloaded theme said this,

"You know, this reminded of a similar issue a user had with the calender_block messing with .first and .last classes - http://drupal.org/node/363803#comment-1242208"

Hopefully this might help the creators/maintainers fix this. It would be greatly appreciated if this bug could be fixed.
